Large size book as regards length and width. 28 cms x 24 cms. 160 pp. Tracing the history of the game from several  centuries ago to modern time. Illustrated throughout in black and white and colour, including full page illustrations. Very bottom of the back spline for about one eighth to quarter of an inch ( 2 to 4 mm) has wear possibly due to a knock, but not the pages.

Glass making covers about 4000 years of history and this book gives an introduction to this art in different countries across the centuries, and is well illustrated throughout.

Large A4 size paperback with card covers. Black & white full page black and white line drawings on each page with ornate descriptive text on the opposite page. Pages don't appear to be numbered. Remains of small adhesive labels on the front and back pages which have been part removed. Some of the illustrations....St Peter's Church Scool, The Red Lion, Tea Part Day, Mawdesley Brick and Tile Works, Mawdesley Hall, Old Round Bank Farm, etc.

A detailed look at 70 interesting Gardens. To mention a few.....Broughton Castle, Chisenbury Priory, Crathes Castle,   Hidcote Manor, Hodnet Hall, Kiftsgate Court, Newstead Abbey. Pencil figures on inside page.

A look at English interior design through the centuries, ranging across a span of time from about 1300 AD up to more recent times. Mediaeval, Tudor, Stuart, Georgian, Victorian, and finally the 20th Century. The first pages cover the different periods with the latter part in alphabetical order covering a wide range of items with black & white illustrations as a glossary.

There is a lot of background history including the Knights Templar etc. The heading in bold type is included in the title of the book and not my observations.

The  Victorian Railway line stretching 73 miles from Settle to Carlisle. Every page or almost every page has a photograph of the trains with a few full page illustrations. with a short description. The dustcover  has some small tears around the edges and creases on the dustcover flaps.

The artists work also illustrates how the coastlines have changed over the decades and centuries. A row of 4 dents near the bottom of the front dustjacket has also left 4 or so small dents in the front board.
